Upholstery and curtain fabrics for interior projects in Doha

Doha is a low, bright city on a bay, humid through the summer and pleasant from November to March. Towers in West Bay and Lusail face the water; villas and compounds spread inland. The glare off the sea is strong, so curtain fabrics with good light fastness, sheer layers that soften daylight, and upholstery that stays cool to the touch are constant requests.

The city's projects include hotels and serviced apartments built in the years around the football World Cup of 2022, the mixed use quarter of Msheireb Downtown, residences on The Pearl, museums and cultural venues, embassies and family villas with a formal majlis. Hospitality wants contract grade Martindale figures and fire retardant fabrics; homes want texture and depth of colour.

Fabric Library, Al Guthmi, Pierre Frey and Ultrafabrics are the four mills at launch. Memo samples from the Gulf reach a Doha studio by courier within days; cuttings from European mills take longer. Studios usually confirm colour on a physical sample in the room, under the project's own lighting, before ordering.

WEAVRA searches these collections by measured colour, material, wear and use, keeps the fabrics that hold in one selection, and prints an A4 presentation under the WEAVRA name. Specifications come from the mill; the order and the price stay between the studio and the mill.
