Madrid sits high on the Castilian plateau: summers are hot and very dry, winters are cold and clear, and the sun is strong in every season. Curtains face real glare, so light fastness matters as much in Madrid as it does in the Gulf, and lined curtains keep heat out in July and in during January. Upholstery lives in dry air and a bright room.
Studios work on apartments in Salamanca, Chamberí and Justicia, on offices along the Castellana, on hotels and restaurants around Gran Vía and the old centre, and on houses in La Moraleja and the sierra. Spain's upholstery mills are concentrated around Valencia and Alicante, a few hours away, so a Madrid studio can move between local and international collections in the same project.
Fabric Library, Al Guthmi, Pierre Frey and Ultrafabrics are the four mills at launch. A cutting from a Madrid showroom or a Spanish mill arrives within days; samples from the Gulf mills travel by courier and take longer. Colour is confirmed on a physical sample in the room, under its own light, before an order.
WEAVRA searches these collections by measured colour, material, wear and use, keeps the fabrics that hold in one selection, and prints an A4 presentation under the WEAVRA name. Specifications come from the mill; the order and the price stay between the studio and the mill.
