Riyadh is inland desert: summers are dry and very hot, winter nights are cold, and dust storms arrive with little warning. Interiors are sealed and cooled, windows are often shaded, and fabrics spend their life under artificial light with a fine layer of dust settling on them. A tight weave that releases dust, a colour that holds under strong sun at the edges of a room, and a fabric that tolerates dry air matter more here than on the coast.
The city is building at scale: new districts to the north, the financial district, hospitality around the historic centre of Diriyah, headquarters and ministries, and large private residences with a majlis, a formal dining room and family wings. Volumes are generous, so a single project can specify hundreds of metres of curtain fabric and several upholstery qualities at once.
Al Guthmi, Fabric Library, Pierre Frey and Ultrafabrics are the four mills at launch. Cuttings from the Gulf usually reach a Riyadh studio within days by courier; European mills take longer. A studio typically confirms colour on a physical sample under the project's own lighting before ordering.
WEAVRA searches these collections by measured colour, material, wear and use, keeps the fabrics that hold in one selection, and prints an A4 presentation under the WEAVRA name. No price appears on the page: the order stays between the studio and the mill.
